Class: Spontaneity, Level 1 Dates: Thursdays, October 17- December 19; no class Oct. 31 & Nov. 28 Time: 5 - 7pm Showcase: Saturday, December 21st at 5pm Instructor: Matt Gawloski Prerequisites: None Note: Must be 18 or older to attend this class. This intro class will cover basic improv concepts like "Yes, and," thinking quickly, taking risks, failing joyfully, listening, and being in the moment, that will enhance day to day life on and off the stage. Students will have tons fun creating together in a supportive environment, as they become better collaborators and communicators. Guaranteed to inspire creativity and spontaneous creation, learn to see the world through the lens of improvisation! This class will culminate in a student showcase, Saturday, December 21st at 5pm. About the teacher: Matty G started his improv journey in a class in 2005 while growing up in the state of New Jersey and has been performing in theaters in various cities ever since. Matty G has found his home in Bellingham and has been on The Upfront cast for the past three years. He loves seeing the fun and joy that improv brings out of people and hearing how they use it in their everyday life. He also enjoys singing karaoke to pretty much any 90s throwback song.
