Service Description
Great for anyone interested in improvisation, this class will provide the foundational tools to become a great improviser and an awesome human being! This class will cover basic improv concepts like "Yes, and," thinking quickly, taking risks, failing joyfully, listening, and being in the moment, that will enhance day to day life on and off the stage. Students will have tons of fun creating together in a supportive environment, as they become better collaborators and communicators. This class is guaranteed to inspire creativity and spontaneous creation. Learn to see the world through the lens of improvisation! This class will culminate in a showcase performance. Class: Saturdays 4-6PM, 1/25-3/15 Showcase: March 22, 5PM Instructor: Dana Prerequisites: None. Note: Must be 18 or older to attend this class. About the Instructor Dana Chauvin was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio where she began acting at the age of 9. She said "yes, and" to her love of the stage and attended Youngstown State University where she obtained a degree in theater before moving to Bellingham in 2009. After many years doing community theater here in Bellingham, Dana joined the Upfront team in the fall of 2022. She loves bringing characters and big energy to the stage in shows and is excited to share her passion with students each week.
