Service Description

Class: Advanced Spontaniety, Level 3 Dates: Mondays, October 21- December 16; no class Nov. 11th Time: 6:00- 8:00pm Showcase: Thursday, December 19 at 7:30pm Instructor: Jesse Markus Prerequisites: completion of Intermediate Spontaneity (Level 2) Note: Must be 18 or older to attend this class. In this level 3 foundation class, students will gain a complete understanding of how a scene works, discovering and practicing all the details that come together to make our scenes great. We will focus on character driven scenes that hone in on specific skills such as character development and dynamics, object work, scene starts, stage presence, and playfulness. Students will study concepts like the rhythm of a scene, the arc of a scene, and being in the moment. This class will culminate in a showcase during the G.B.U on Thursday, December 19th. About the Instructor: Jesse Markus has been involved with the world of improv for 13 years. In that time, he has played and taught with various teams around the Western U.S. as well as helped found the nationally lauded Wasatch Improv Festival. Jesse loves character work and is super excited to help others with developing theirs!
