The Harold | Spring 2020 | Wednesdays
This class will focus on specific techniques to identify and play the game of the scene – the pattern that makes it funny. We’ll do this by learning the Harold – the format invented by Del Close that ushered in the longform improv revolution!
Students will focus intensely on two-person scenes that will be revisited, giving you a chance to explore the characters in a way that’s rarely done outside of a Harold format. This class will leave you with a much stronger sense of exactly why a scene is funny and how you can heighten that over multiple scenes.
Dates: Wednesdays, April 22nd – June 10th
