Theatrical Improv | Winter 2020 | Thursdays
This class will focus on improv performance through the scope of theatre arts training. Students will use improv in tandem with scripted material to make a beautiful blending of the two. It will dive deep into character development, the history of a scene, monologues, and creating great theatrical stage presence.
Kris Erickson brings a breadth of knowledge to this class, from a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre to 20 years of improvising in and leading improv troupes.
This class will cover:
- Stage Presence
- Story Arcs
- Creating History
Dates: Thursdays, January 23rd – March 12th (Classes are once a week for 8 weeks)
Time: 5:00 – 7:00 pm

Location: The Upfront Studio Space
Prerequisites: Completion of Advanced Spontaneity, Spontaneity Class, higher level of improv training, or permission of Education Director. Must be at least 18 years old.
Recommended Prerequisite: Environment, Characters & Relationships, Storytelling, & Two Person Scenework
