Kris received an Associate Degree in the Arts and Sciences from Olympic College where he performed in numerous theatrical productions. He is also a Western Washington University graduate with a BA in Theatre Arts with concentrations in Acting, Directing, Playwriting, and Theatre Education.
Kris has been improvising since 2000, starting with a community group called Stark Raving improv and moving on to WWU’s Dead Parrots Society where he eventually became Artistic Director. From the year 2000 to the present Kris has learned and performed improv all across North America including Seattle, Vancouver, and Chicago. He has been an active member of the Bellingham theatre community, performing at the Idiom Theatre, The Mount Baker Theatre, and a number of other venues around town for plays, stand up, and sketch.
Since his first involvement at the Upfront Theatre in 2009 Kris has performed in hundreds of shows, taught classes/workshops, and won international improv festivals. He is excited to share his knowledge and love of improv by creating amazing new improv shows and insightful School of Improv curriculum.
